“Our augmentee program aids security forces with additional resources to support installation-level requirements,” said Staff Sgt. Steven Snyder, a member with the 178th SFS.
The augmentee training program was a six-day course that taught members about weapons safety, combative skills, handcuffing techniques, personal searches and gate procedures.
“The training that the augmentees received is extremely important,” said Snyder. “It’s must-know information to be part of the security forces team.”Hands-on training and simulated scenarios allowed 178th Wing members from a variety of different career fields to learn more about defending the base.“With additional individuals working, it means a safer and more efficient base,” said Snyder.
