ANG Security Forces Award individual winners named

1/8/2016 – JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. — The Director of the Air National Guard recently announced the 2015 Air National Guard Security Forces Award individual winners.

The awards seek to recognize the outstanding achievements of individual security forces Airmen across the ANG who rose above their peers and raised their performance to new heights.

“All of our security forces members around the globe deserve a hearty thank-you for facing these challenges head on while remaining the standard-bearer of the professional Airman,” said Lt. Gen. Stanley E. Clarke, Air National Guard director.

“One noteworthy addition to the awards program this year is the creation of the Staff Sergeant Todd ‘TJ’ Lobraico Award, which specifically honors a fallen security forces defender from the 105th Airlift Wing, in New York, who was killed in action in September 2013,” said Chief Master Sgt. Francis Miskelly, ANG security forces career field manager. “The award is for a reserve-component Airman to be recognized for either worldwide or domestic contingency operations. We wanted Airmen in domestic operations to be eligible, because in addition to our federal mission our Airmen are also out there doing great things within their states and communities.”
