Father and Son in a Combat Environment

072514_Father_n_SonRetired Security Forces Master Sergeant (MSgt) Stan Jackson in Afghanistan as a contractor with his son, Security Forces Airman First Class (AIC) Lincoln Jackson.  AIC Jackson’s home unit is the 18th SFS on Kadena Air Base and his deployment units is the 455th Expeditionary Base Defense Squadron.  AIC Jackson is the third generation military member; his grandfather, Wallace Jackson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

MSgt (retired) Jackson served as a Security Forces Defender, (SAC Elite Guard (86-92), USAFE Creek Defender (98-01), 86th CRG (99-01).

MSgt (retired) Jackson is having the unique experience of spending time with his son in a combat environment.  They get to have breakfast / lunch together a few times per week along with an occasional workout.

“Lincoln and I were very close before, but this has brought us even closer,” stated MSgt (retired) Jackson.
