Happy Thanksgiving 2021

Security Forces

For many Americans Thanksgiving is a day to enjoy food, family, and a good football game.

As a young U.S. Air Force Airmen, I had the pleasure of spending my first military Thanksgiving at Lackland Air Force Base attending Basic Military Training. From that day forward, I spent many holidays on duty, to include being deployed somewhere overseas, away from family, friends, good food, and celebratory activities.

Today as we reflect on all for which we are thankful, enjoying family and friends, please remember our U.S. Air Force Security Forces “Defenders,” and other Armed Forces members maintaining the watch around the world so that we can enjoy this day in peace.

To our Defenders and Armed Force brethren on the watch, Thank You for your service!
